Why is our government censoring knowledge so flagrantly? Lets consider what mass ‘book burnings’ have signaled historically: nationalism, consolidation of power, and eventual imprisonment of intellectuals, to name a few. If Obama wants re-election, he better stop coddling corporate interests and listen to his constituency. <end rant>

… Emotions therefore directly support social norms —-  ‘With respect to addiction, social norms are argued to explain “a great  deal of the variation in drug use across societies”.  As norms are supported by  emotions, there is a link between addiction and emotion here. Norms may be for abstinence or excess, so we cannot a priori determine the  sign of any relationship...
